After thinking about it, how about printing any configuration errors to
System.err by default?
I already had to tell five people about StatusManager and the code to get error
messages when they asked me "why Lilith" did not work ;)
Usually, System.err is appended to the error log in servers and that's what I
would expect in case of a configuration mistake.
