I'm experiencing the same issue. Also, the documentation for preferences (http://logback.qos.ch/beagle/index.html#Preferences) states there should be an entry in the Eclipse Preferences for Beagle. It does not appear.
My eclipse log has the following message: (Not sure if this is related to logback or maven)
