I found the other Appender also seems to have to happen to use e.g. %C (class) in a pattern to get the SocketAppender (and consolePlugin ) to be able to include caller data. Like setting includeCallerData on the SocketAppender doesn't trigger the (heavy) data collection involved itself, but having that somewhere else does.
