Sorry for hijacking the thread.
The option present is 'Select Address' not 'Paste'. Iow, selected text cannot
be pasted, only address book entries can be used where an email address is
present. In general, the Paste option (paste from system clipboard buffer)
should be present in any field that serves as text entry. F.ex. it is present
in the Subject and Body fields, as it should be. I find that the context menu
is identical to the Menu button menu, by the way.

I just looked into your issue. The "Paste" option is there, but on
the context menu. Click the trackball in the address field (instead
of pressing the menu button), and you will see it.
However, I should still fix this issue, and I will.
