Google's IMAP server is "different"

In terms of Sent messages, simply configure your client to not upload
sent messages at all, and let Google take care of placing a copy in your
Sent folder. Not only will Google's SMTP server do this for you, but it
cuts your bandwidth usage for sent messages in half.

All of the data generated in your IT infrastructure is seriously valuable.
Why? It contains a definitive record of application performance, security
threats, fraudulent activity, and more. Splunk takes this data and makes
sense of it. IT sense. And common sense.
