I found the resource in your directory. This appears to be the offending line
of code.

\left(\frac{$c1}{$c}\right)^{$ec3}}$</m>
I would try to delete the 'font' and 'size' attributes from the <m> tag and see
if that helps. You might also try moving the LaTeX command \LARGE to the left
of the dollar sign. By comparison, here is your code for part (a) of the
question:
a. <m eval="on"
display="jsmath">\LARGE{$\left(\frac{a^{$ea1}}{$a}\right)^{$ea2}}$</m>
Also, I'm not certain that the TeX command \LARGE would have any effect inside
math mode.

2) What are course display settings (Main Menu>Course Configuration>Display of
resources>Force use of specific math rendering engine)?

A student sent the attached screen shot. Basically, the question code is
displaying on top of the solution box and the student can't input the answer.
