Just scored my last LON-CAPA exam. Bittersweet moment for sure.
On behalf of the thousands of Purdue students and faculty, I thank Gerd, Stuart
and all of the LON-CAPA family for providing a platform that did what no other
could for the cost.

It was never easy here, and it was always a fight against the under-educated
administration that feared anything remotely hard, but it was worth every ounce
of effort.

Purdue Physics migrates into a Purdue tool called Variate
(https://www.purdue.edu/innovativelearning/tools-resources/instructional-technology/variate/)
We will initially lose a great deal of functionality, but I have hope that
perhaps working with a tool that is "loved" and not "feared" will result in
innovations that can get us back to where we were with LON-CAPA. We have a full
summer ahead of migrating content, but we have made quick work of what we
needed for the Summer courses, so it should be fine.

I am not sure what happens to the content at Purdue, once the Domain is turned
off, but if anyone wants it, I would approve somehow migrating it out to
somewhere safe.

Thanks again to everyone!! Take care and have a great life!!
