hiya
I learnt the other day that John Hambley has recently died. I'm sure most will
know of him through the series of
'London Transport Buses & Coaches' yearbooks which he compiled.
It wasnt until about a year ago I bought one of his books and was so impressed
I've since tried to collect them all.
They really are a superb record, not only of the vehicles but of life in
general all those years ago, and I'm glad he was so keen and dedicated enough
to gather the work together of so many fine photographers and make as many
volumes as he did. A fine legacy I think for all enthusiasts of London's buses
of yesteryear.
