On the other hand, it leads to "orphaned" hierarchy entries alt.happy,
alt.happy.birthday and alt.happy.birthday.philip -- which was a point that
people brought up against the idea of reviving alt.happy.birthday.to.me.
They said it was badly placed in the hierarchy; and indeed, the reason for
one of the two rmgroups (or maybe both; don't remember) was "joke group",
which didn't help.
But Gabe Helou posts his "Poor Gabriel's Almanac" there daily.
