the SL1210 is OK .. the SP10MK2 is much better. I have one with SME arm
and its not bad at all .. it weighs about 3 times as much as a 1210, all
metal etc.
I still have an old Garrard 301 which I understand have got some weird
sort of retro hi-fi (lo-fi?) cult status, and get bought up by hte
japanese for some reason ...
<cue long discussion about esoteric decks mounted on lumps of rare wood
with the grain aligned in a west-east direction to prevent bio-magnetic
