Debian need to work on their installer. I find the easiest way is to make a
smallish partition and FTP the base.tgz etc on there and then use their
two-disk boot to get it going. The multi-floppy is a nightmare. Best though
is a bootable CD then run dist-upgrade. But anyway, yes, you can install
using FTP, HTTP or whatever when it asks where the data's coming from.
Or at least that's how I remember -- I just rsync disks these days :)
