A perl SIG seems very echo chambery. A dynamic languages group would be more likely to work, I would think. Partly because it would attract people who aren't already perl-heads, but it might also attract those of us who are *already* perl-heads, as it would be somewhere that we could learn new Stuff (eg from the python folks).
