I've done this. Roundtrip rail-and-sail tickets with a cabin on an overnight ferry. Actually not a bad way to travel, not terribly expensive, only bad bit is the packed commuter train in from Harwich to Liverpool St in the morning which takes quite a while and isn't really geared up for people with luggage. /joel
