hi all,

i am sure the subject got your attention. i read an article about the
beatles sense of humor (50th year since they invaded the states is big
here). it mentioned a line from penny lane:

a four of fish and finger pies

the article author said it was a somewhat smutty british expression. any
of you smutty brits care to elucidate?

here is the article with that comment:

Wikipedia has the details.

The mysterious lyrics "Four of fish and finger pies" are British
slang. "A four of fish" refers to fourpennyworth of fish and chips,
while "finger pie" is sexual slang of the time, apparently referring
to intimate fondlings between teenagers in the shelter, which was a
familiar meeting place. The combination of "fish and finger" also
  puns on fish fingers.

Well, if not details exactly, certainly enough of a clue to work it out :)
