Having failed to connect through phone, I've just decided to use this medium to
laud your good sense to invite a sensible, sagacious and discerning guest in
your show. I'm referring to last night's show which was attended by Dr Huma.
Views that she expressed were based on logic, avoiding any sentimentality or
emotion.Otherwise what one sees on Electrnonic media these days is the sorry
condition of this intellectually bankrupt nation. Yes, we cannot cling to the
precipice of intellectuality now as we ourselves have deprived ourselves from
it. I often say to my friends and teachers that "Emotional idiocy remains a
national problem of God-gifted state of Pakistan." Supposedly sensible
professional tv hosts like you must show some understanding of the critical
situation prevailing in the country. Sir we are fighting our war, our blood is
spilled, even our city witnessed a suicide bombing today. Innocent students
fell victim to it. Our blood is being
shed, we have become hostage to a new, unacceptable brand of Sharia being
imposed by Taliban. This problem must be countered with aboslute sanity, and
may I say unity. That which is missing is common voice against the creeping
Talibanization.
I will write to you again and would surely need your answer.
