hello Everyone!

I just think yesterday's show was a step towards trying to calm the hostility
of the consumers, yes its no magic it wont take a day! but if this managment is
asking for time, we should give them n lets see if they are worth it or not! if
we can re appoint fallen governements n give them chances, then we can try here
too! One thing i like about Samaa and Faisal are, he offered to help in
covering them not only will this keep the us in tune to whats happeneing, but
it will also give us a chance to make sure they are on track as they claim to
be! and stay focused!

But i really hope that they go after defaulters and disconnect their
connections, cause why the hell should i bear the brunt and pay ! cause its
common sense those who arnt paying the balance is being divided in between the
ones who are paying the bills! Plus this months bill has been charged double
the previous months, despite them saying that it wont be done! jahan 4000 atta
tha wahan 8000 aya hai! which is quite shocking as most of the time there is no
electricity! well lets see as if they are here for the big bucks or actually
tryin to change the dynamics and geography of KESC!

Dear Faisal,

I have few observations / queries regarding KESC:

a. There is a distinct VIP culture at KESC whereby common people like us suffer
load shedding for hours while VIP places like Governor house, CM house, Bilawal
House etc are exempt from any load shedding. Why? Why do we pay more and suffer
load shedding while these VIPs enjoy all privileges?

b. I have personally observed street lights on during the day even on main
roads / highways. Why do they not cut the supply to those organizations for
this criminal activity?

c. Our interface with KESC is neither Mr. Naveed nor Mr. Farrukh; our interface
with KESC is

i) those horrible customer centres which set highest example of customer
disservice; one feels insulted the way the staff in these centres talk. There
is never a respite. Since privatization, there has been no improvement in these
centres / staff; instead it has worsened.

ii) our interface is those telephone lines of centres that NEVER work; you keep
dialing and they would never connect. It is most frustrating. Again, things
have worsened since privatization few years ago.

iii) our interface is those vehicles that are seen parked outside the customer
centres and the staff tells you that no vehicle is available; you are forced to
make deal with the vehicle driver and coax him into coming to your area to fix
the problem.

d. Previous private owners did NOTHING to improve the situation and in fact
everything fell apart yet they were let scot free. Why? this surely gives
comfort to new owners that they may also fail to deliver and pack off without
any accountability. I hope this doesnt happen though.

e. New owners have hired an army of highly expensive senior management staff;
packages have already been published in papers. I cannot criticise it since it
is a private set up but I only hope that while they get fattest packages, they
at least deliver. No body will then have any problem.

With regards to their contention that fuel prices increased so they had to
increase tarriff, pleask ask them that now that oil prices have fallen, what
have they done? why are they quick to increase price and load customers but
come up with 1000 excuses when it comes to give relief?

Regards
