Steve

1. I had Debug enabled in Safari but did not figure out what option
would give me the trace of what was happening, so...

2. I started FireFox Mac. I did not set any debug options (unless
there is some global setting that comes over from the Safari
setting!?). On loading my site/project index page it came up as in any
browser. On LogIn I was surprised to see FireFox display an html type
(debug?) page with various results in it. I had to click Back to see
the page I wanted.

3. I went in and clicked to create a forum, and... wouldn't you know
it, the Forum was created. Since I double clicked by mistake, it
actually made TWO fora of the same name. So I clicked Destroy to
delete the duplicate. (BTW, love the slick zoom out & disappear effect
on delete. Loved it).

4. Search obviously remains crippled as Hostgator won't install Sphinx
for me. :-( Is there any previous code people can replace Sphinx calls
with, to at least initially get the project to use ferret for those
who can't get Sphinx on their web service providers?

So, whatever the problem I found is only on using Safari not on using
FireFox. Hope that helps others test their pages too. If it will help
you I'd be happy to send the Safari information but please let me know
which of the Debug options to click and what file to send or post
here. Thanks again. Loving the look of the project even using your
template design. (Too bad it's not easy to edit RoR sites in
DreamWeaver CS4). :-(
