Linux Professional Institute Offers Certification Exams at LinuxWorld
Conference & Expo--Mexico

(Toronto, Ontario, February 1, 2006) – The Linux Professional Institute
(LPI), (http://www.lpi.org), the world's premier Linux certification
organization will provide certification testing to registered conference
delegates during LinuxWorld Conference & Expo - Mexico City, Mexico
February 14 - 17, 2006. Conference delegates will receive their
certification testing as part of their conference fee (a $1,050 MXN
value) while those attending the trade show will be offered a 50%
discount ($525 MXN) to take the exams.

"This is the first time LPI has attended a Linux conference in Mexico
and we are delighted to be participating. We have noted a growing
interest in Linux certification in Mexico and since over 23,000 people
attended a similar event last year we expect this to be an excellent
venue in which to promote Linux professionalism," said José Carlos
Gouveia, Area Operations Manager of Latin America for LPI. José Carlos
also noted that, that given LPI's appreciation of this important event,
he had also been assisting conference organizers in identifying
potential speakers and presenters.

LPI exams will be offered on Wednesday February 15 and Thursday February
16, 2006 in the Palacio de la Canal 3, Centro Banamex, Mexico City at
2:00 and 5:00 p.m. Both LPIC-1 exams will be offered in Spanish and
English so that candidates will have the opportunity of earning their
first LPI Professional certification. LPI will also host an information
booth in the exhibition area during the conference. Conference
delegates and trade show attendees are invited to meet with LPI
representatives at Booth # 2918.

Exam candidates must pre-register on the LPI website at
https://www.lpi.org/es/register.html (or
