Linux Professional Institute Announces New Affiliate in Portugal

(Toronto, Canada: January 18, 2006) The Linux Professional Institute (LPI),
the world's premier Linux certification organization (http://www.lpi.org),
announced that DRI, an IT training and consulting service company in Lisbon,
Portugal as LPI's new Master Affiliate for Portugal. DRI was established in
1999 and specializes in IT infrastructure projects and web applications for
the Portuguese market.

Jim Lacey, President and CEO of LPI welcomed DRI to the LPI network of
global affiliates: “Given DRI's long history of IT services in the
Portuguese market it is well positioned to advance LPI certification and
Linux professionalism in Portugal. This is indicative of the success of our
Regional Enablement Initiative to date: identify potential partners who have
considerable knowledge of their local markets and then enable them to drive
the adoption of Linux and Open Source Software." Mr. Lacey cited the
influence of John Meaney, Area Operations Manager for Europe as instrumental
in recruiting DRI to LPI's efforts in Europe.

Diogo Rebelo, CEO of DRI, stated that there is an increasing demand for
Linux professionals within Portugal: "LPI certification will fulfill local
market needs for IT professionals who understand and know Linux and Open
Source Software. LPI certified professionals will reinforce within our
region that we have the skills and talent to implement Open Source solutions
for enterprise and industry." Mr. Rebelo also emphasized that professional
Linux and Open Source training was of increasing interest within both
academic and commercial training organizations in Portugal and that DRI had
concrete plans to recruit IT education providers to assist with that effort.
