LPI Offers Discounted Certification Exams at FOSDEM 2007 (Toronto, Canada and Kassel, Germany: February 13, 2007) The Linux Professional Institute (LPI), the premier Linux certification organization worldwide (http:www.lpi.org), will offer discounted certification exams to attendees of FOSDEM 2007 (February 24 -25) in Brussels, Belgium (http://www.fosdem.org). Exams will be in the English language and include all LPIC-1 (101 and 102), LPIC-2 (201 and 202), LPIC-3 (301, 302) and MySQL certification exams. This will be the first time in the world that paper versions of LPI's new LPIC-3 exams will be offered.

Mr. Bleser also expressed gratitude to Belgian Open Source solutions provider Think-Wize (http://www.think-wize.com/) for offering to refund the cost of exams to the top 5 scoring exam candidates at FOSDEM. FOSDEM is one of the largest and most noteworthy Free and Open Source Software events in Europe with around 200 presentations and 4000 visitors each year. Exams will be offered in Room Lameere, U Building, ULB Campus Solbosh, Avenue Franklin D. Roosevelt, 50, 1050 Brussels, Belgium on February 24 - 25, 2007 at FOSDEM. Conference attendees will pay 60,- EUR for the LPIC-1, LPIC-2 and LPIC-3 exams -- a 50% discount off the regular price for LPIC-1/LPIC-2 and more than a 60% discount off the price of LPIC-3 exams. The MySQL exams (both administrator and developer) are offered at a 50% discount to all conference participants at 85,- EUR. All candidates can pay for their exams at the exam room by cash. All LPI candidates must pre-register at the LPI website for an LPI ID number at http://www.lpi.org/en/lpi/english/certification/register_now. Exam candidates must bring valid photo identification and their LPI ID number to the exam lab. Exam candidates for MySQL exams must also obtain a MySQL certification ID from the MySQL website at http://www.mysql.com/certification/signup and must also bring valid photo identification and their MySQL certification ID number to the exam events. Due to limited seating at the event (50 candidates per session) candidates for all exams are advised to pre-register at http://lpievent.lpi-german.de Exam labs are scheduled as follows: Saturday, February 24 at 14:00 and 16:00 hrs and Sunday, February 25 at 10:00, 13:00 and 15:00 hrs.
