"LPI Day" and LPI exams at LinuxTag 2007, Berlin, Germany (May 30 - June
2, 2007)

(Toronto, Canada and Kassel, Germany: May 17, 2007) The Linux
Professional Institute (LPI), the premier Linux certification
organization worldwide (http://www.lpi.org), will offer discounted
certification exams during LinuxTag, Berlin, Germany
(http://www.linuxtag.org/2007/) and host a number of special events and
presentations.  This will include an "LPI-Day" with a series of six
presentations, a Technical Advisory Committee meeting and workshops.

The "LPI-Day" on Saturday, June 2, 2007 (Hall 4) will feature a series
of six presentations.  This will include a speech by G.Matthew Rice, LPI
Director of Product Development who will present on LPI's certification
program including the recent LPIC-3 certification.  For more information

On Friday, June 1, 2007 LPI will host an item-writing workshop (10:00
hrs.) for those interested in creating LPIC exam items--and a Technical
Advisory Committee meeting (14:00 hrs) for public input on LPI's overall

LPI will also offer all its certification exams (LPIC-1, LPIC-2 and
LPIC-3) and the Ubuntu Professional Certification Exam at discounted
pricing during LinuxTag.  LPIC-1 and LPIC-2 exams will be available in
German and English while the LPIC-3 exams and the Ubuntu Professional
Certification exam will be available in English only.  Exam labs are on
the following days: Wednesday, May 30 - Thursday, May 31, 2007: 10:00,
13:00 and 16:00 hrs and Saturday, June 2, 2007: 10:00 and 13:00 hrs. 
LPIC-1, LPIC-2 exams and the LPI-302 "Mixed Environment" Speciality exam
will be available at 60 euros each.  The LPIC-3 (LPI-301) certification
exam will be available at 80 euros.  The Ubuntu Professional exam will
be available to Ubuntu community members for 75 euros and for all others
at 85 euros.

During LinuxTag, LPI-German will offer special voucher "bundle" pricing
for the LPIC-1 exams (101, 102) plus the Ubuntu Professional
Certification exam for a total price of 150 euros.  These vouchers will
be redeemable for a full year at any exam lab or event in Germany where
paper exams are offered and will only be available for purchase at the
LinuxTag conference.

LPI will also host an information booth in Hall 14.1, Booth #17 for all
IT professionals interested in learning more about LPI's programs and
