Linux Professional Institute at CeBIT 2010, Hanover, Germany

(Kassel, Germany: February 11, 2010) The Linux Professional Institute
(LPI), the world's premier Linux certification organization
(http://www.lpi.org), announced that its affiliate,  LPI Central Europe
(http://www.lpice.eu) will host a full program of activities at CeBIT
2010 in Hanover, Germany. Open Source will be a top theme at this years
edition of one of the world's leading trade fairs for the ICT industry
(http://www.cebit.de/opensource_e).

LPI-Central Europe has a number of presentations planned during CeBIT
2010 with such partner organizations as Linuxhotel
(http://www.linuxhotel.de), Univention (http://www.univention.de) and
RadioTux (http://www.radiotux.de). LPI activities during CeBIT 2010 are
outlined at http://cebit-2010.lpice.eu and will include sessions with
long time LPI supporters such as Ingo Wichmann, Peer Heinlein, Anselm
Lingnau, Ralph Dehner and Michael Gisbers.

LPI-Central Europe will also provide networking service for both LPI
alumni and prospective employers.  Companies seeking Linux professionals
and LPI alumni interested in new employment prospects can connect at the

In addition LPI-Central Europe will host exam labs during CeBIT 2010
with their partner "Multi-Media Berufsbildende Schule
Hanover", Expo Plaza 3, 30539 Hanover, Germany.  Exams will be on
Thursday, March 4 at 14:00 and 16:00 hrs. and Saturday, March 6 at 14:00
and 16:00 hrs.

Exams offered during the exam labs include: LPIC-1 and LPIC-2 (101, 102,
201, 202) - in German and English; LPIC-3 (301, 302, 303) - in English;
and the Univention Certified Professional exam (LPI 198) - in German.

Candidates must bring valid photo identification and their LPI ID number
to the exam labs.  LPI ID numbers can be obtained at
https://cs.lpi.org/caf/Xamman/register on the LPI website.
Exams must be paid for in cash only prior to exam times at the exam

Pre-registration for exams is advised due to limited seating--please

All candidates who register for the exam labs no later than Thursday,
February 25 will receive a complimentary day e-ticket for CeBIT 2010.
