Hi Thiago,

If you don't get the LPIC-2 before the LPIC-1 goes inactive, you do
have to start over.  It isn't 5 years per test, it's 5 years per
level.  I think that everyone would agree that it would be nice if
there was another way to keep the certifications active other than
retaking the same level or passing the next level but there isn't.

If the FAQ that Ross pointed to isn't clear on this, please let him know.

In general, LPIC-1 is boring.  So is high school but it certainly
makes university easier.
