Hi,

I would think that syslog should be presented as the "basic knowledge" with
concepts and how it works and then recommended as improved/newer options
the rsyslog and syslog-ng and/or other logging systems?

I don't know much about syslog-ng but if there're common parts (concepts,
the way some things work etc.) with rsyslog and/or other logging systems
probably they should be included in the "basic knowledge"?

Regards,
JL
