I am installing LILO in Red Hat Linux 7.0 version
in dual boot with Windows 2000 Professional with Win 2K Pro being on
HDD 1 and Linux on HDD 2. But in the installation when LILO screen comes
up, it only shows linux partition, it doesn't show DOS partition, so I
still haven't installed LILO, please note this is during installation that
this is seen. Should I go ahead and install LILO still, according to
some tutorials it says instead of installing on MBR, I should install LILO
on 1st sector of HDD, that would solve the problem and make it dual boot. I
am not sure about this so I am sending this email to confirm before I
go ahead and install LILO on 1st sector of HDD. Please guide me about this
point. I don't want to end up just seeing and booting LInux with my Win 2k
Pro going to waste. Will installing on 1st sector of HDD solve
the problem ? How do I configure LILO to see my DOS
partition ? Will just insalling LILO on 1st
sector of HDD solve my problem ? I want to configure LILO with dual boot
Win 2K Pro and Linux 7.0 Thanks for your time.
