It is NOT a good idea. It is a LOUSY idea. A HORRIBLE idea.
A NASTY idea. And it is used in only a very few places with
carefully contrived things like 'Cast_ptr_to_int()' and
'Cast_ptr_to_long()' so that I can find them and know where they
are and put the garlic and silver cross beside them.
