There is a bug or error or stupid mistake in the LPRng code:
the syslog() function is being called with 'syslog( var, msg )' instead
of 'syslog( var, "%s", msg )'.
There. Now you know. You should update your version of LPRng.
Now if you are using gettext, you also need to put:
if( getuid() == 0 || geteuid() == 0 ) unsetenv("NLSPATH")
either in the common Initialize() function, or in the main()
routine of all the clients and servers.
