Should do with the
:if=<Your_path_to_filter_and name>
line in printcap.
Works well with me

Betreff: LPRng: Job arrival filter?

I was wondering how (if at all possible) to run a filter (or another
program)
as soon as a print job arrives? So that a command can be executed
immediately and then proceed with the if and of filters.

Has anybody been able to do anything like this?

Thanks,
Christopher
