After posting a printing configuration question on the Netatalk mailing list I was told to use LPRng.
I just downloaded, compiled ,installed LPRng 3.8.1 LPRng-Tool 1.2.7 ifhp 3.4.7 On a FreeBSD 4.4 server that I need to printserve a LaserWriterIIg thru ethertalk for my windoze machines. After running lprngtool I get an error which makes me think one of my .conf files are not set right... su-2.05# lprngtool /usr/local/bin/lprngtool: Package:: command not found /usr/local/bin/lprngtool: Version:: command not found /usr/local/bin/lprngtool: line 6: syntax error near unexpected token `<geoff\@uslinux.net>' These look like "uncommented" comments... I've looking in all my conf files trying to patch it up but to no avail... Keep in mind that I'm new to printing under Unix and that much of it is "martian speak" to me...
