In reference to Chris Herrmann's Mac/lpr printing problem:
>turns out it couldn't find it because firewall rules were on... but now, it
>starts spooling the job, but then just sits there, doing nothing. If i look
>in /var/spool/lpd/%P/:

With Mac OS 9 we have had a similar problem. We use find to
locate and remove spooled files on the Mac. Search for
'spool' or 'lpr' filenames, remove the obvious ones and
printing works again, for us.
