I'm new to LPRng and I'm trying to get it to print remotely to another machine which is acting as a print server.
I'm getting the following error message from checkpc when I run it arem# checkpc 2002-01-15-15:21:03.514 arem lp: Checkwrite: fcntl F_SETFL of '/dev/null' failed - Operation not supported by device Warning - lp: cannot open lp device '/dev/null' - No Error What does that message mean? I noticed that LPRng has it's own lp file /usr/local/bin/lp...should I rename the native /usr/bin/lp -> lp.old ? I don't remember doing this on the other machine and it is working fine. I'm using LPRng 3.7.6 TIA Brian I' ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- YOU MUST BE A LIST MEMBER IN ORDER TO POST TO THE LPRNG MAILING LIST The address you post from MUST be your subscription address If you need help, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] (or lprng-requests or lprng-digest-requests) with the word 'help' in the body.
