I have just been looking at the discussion about copyrights
and the OpenSSL distribution.

Apparently, there is a problem distributing binaries under the
terms of the GNU license if they have linked OpenSSL into them.
I have read the license, the discussions, the OpenSSL license,
the GPL license, and the following:

http://lists.debian.org/debian-legal/2002/debian-legal-200204/msg00072.html
  (plus discussions)
http://www.openssl.org/support/faq.html#LEGAL

I am adding the following clause to the LPRng license:

If you wish to distribute the LPRng source code or binaries of any
of the programs in the LPRng packages under terms of the GNU license,
then when any package or portion of the LPRng is configured to use
any facility or utility of the OpenSSL distribution, the additional
following clause will be applied, as recommended in the OpenSSL
0.9.6c release FAQ:

"This program is released under the GPL with the additional exemption that
compiling, linking, and/or using OpenSSL is allowed."

I hope that this is satisfies the various factions.
