Hi All,
I have been tasked with upgrading our existing LPRng setup to the latest
version and am having some issues with the new printcap format. Currently
we have a single version of the configuration files that get propogated to
all our hosts (Solaris 7-9 + RH 6.2-7.3). The printcap file has enteries
for all the printers at our site and we make extensive use of bounce
queues, eg.
.lj5mp-c|.lj5m-c|.lj4mp-c|.2200-c|.4000-c|.4050-c|.8000-c|HP LJ class

:tc=.4050-2
hart2t|tumble duplex:
:lp=hart2t@server1

While this actually seems to work with 3.8.13 checkpc does flag some
issues, eg.
hart-real: 'conflicting printcap entries :lp=hart%9100:rm=server1'
hart-real: sf (suppress form feeds) is ignored. Use 'ff_separator' if you
want FF between job files
hart2: bq option is no longer supported, use 'lpd_bounce' option
I've been reading through the documentation for a couple of days now and
to be quite honest I'm just getting more and more confused with
client/server enteries, lpd_bounce etc...
I'd be really grateful if someone could provide me with some pointers
and/or prehaps some more complex examples.
Many thanks for your time.
Cheers, Adam
