Howdy *, I am not understanding how to create a status helper for ifhp. (I'm looking at version 3.5.10)
I need to determine that name and/or address of the printer. My work-around is as follows, (and it's undocumented, so I hope it will not break any time soon.) pagecount=|/path/to/my/status_helper %P If ifhp currently does not pass printer name and/or address to the status helper, it would be nice to add such a feature, say to pass them as argument. (That was meant for Patrick, of course.) The example program in UTILS/use_snmp_for_status only checks the printcap for the default printer. This, as I understand, is inadequate for an envirnment with more than one printer. Am I right?
