This works great for text and PCL jobs except that, again, PCL jobs sent to the HP4050 won't start unless you hit the "GO" button on the printer (because they want me to "manually feed letter from tray 1"). I've tried to add the "-Z" option at the lpr command line as follows: lpr -Zinlower -P mpwhp32 /etc/hosts And I've tried to add it to /etc/printcap like this: :append_z=inlower But these do not seem to have any effect (both on the lpf filter and the Red Hat way). Is the lpf filter supposed to understand tray selection options passed on the "lpr -Z" command line, or should I be able to put them in /etc/printcap (using lprngtool)? --Karl ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- YOU MUST BE A LIST MEMBER IN ORDER TO POST TO THE LPRNG MAILING LIST The address you post from MUST be your subscription address If you need help, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] (or lprng-requests or lprng-digest-requests) with the word 'help' in the body.
