Hi, I've recently rebuilt a server, and in the process, upgraded LPRng from 3.6.10 to 3.8.10 (as packaged for Debian Woody). LPRng is acting as a backend for all my Samba shared network printers, and has been doing sterling service for some time.
Since the upgrade, I have one user who is getting problems. He's using a finance package, which after processing, generates 3 "reports". These are actually just plain text files, and the package will print them for him. 2 of the three work fine - the other never prints. I get errors like this in the log:- LJ2100-RM11: Update_status: no identifier for 'hfA766' Looking at things, I can also see this error message attached to other jobs as well (though I've had no other user complaints as yet). Can anyone tell me what that error message means, and what I might be able to do about it.... TIA, Mike. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- YOU MUST BE A LIST MEMBER IN ORDER TO POST TO THE LPRNG MAILING LIST The address you post from MUST be your subscription address If you need help, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] (or lprng-requests or lprng-digest-requests) with the word 'help' in the body.
