Hi,
I'm running Solaris 8 with an HP printer connected to the
local parallel port(nothing fancy), but I can't get it to print postscript
files, I keep on getting the commands instead of the contents. I was under the
impression that the IFHP filter will convert the file to PCL for me, so I won't
have to deal with using ghostscript. I configured the printer using
LPRngTool(which is very nice), so my printcap file is alright, I chose my
printer model from the list given(it had exactly the right printer) but still I
can only print text test pages and not postscript.
Please tell me what I'm doing wrong, I've been stuck with this
problem for quite a while(trying different printing software packages like
CUPS) and the postscript printing is becoming quite urgent.
Thanks,
R.E.L
