Ah, excellent! I thought that my problem with this was just a fluke,
and hardware related. After going back through the mail archives, it
looks like plenty of people with HP 8000 series are getting this. I
spent an hour or so on the phone last week with HP and eventually he
came to the conclusion that it was the EWS. He shipped me a new one
and it still does it (though the frequency of it does seem to differ,
but I haven't correlated it to the number of people in the lab yet).
Just a heads up, he said the 79.00FE can mean that it's a problem
with the system board, accessories, printer hardware, jetdirect,
network, printing system, file... (read: anything).

I'm running the latest version of the firmware for the printer and
the JD, so that's apparently not it. Anything else I can try?

Thanks,

YOU MUST BE A LIST MEMBER IN ORDER TO POST TO THE LPRNG MAILING LIST
The address you post from MUST be your subscription address

If you need help, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] (or lprng-requests
or lprng-digest-requests) with the word 'help' in the body. For the impatient,
to subscribe to a list with name LIST, send mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
with: | example:
subscribe LIST <mailaddr> | subscribe lprng-digest [EMAIL PROTECTED]
unsubscribe LIST <mailaddr> | unsubscribe lprng [EMAIL PROTECTED]

If you have major problems, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the word
LPRNGLIST in the SUBJECT line.
