Hello, that the way we have used about a dozen network printers (printers with their own IP addresses) for the last two years. We have one Linux printserver (running LPRng), one Novell server, and additionally some computers that print by sending data directly to the IP-adresses of the printers. It works. The disadvantage is troubleshooting in case of problems with certain print jobs.
