Check the values for the following settings:

        pagecount_poll_start
        pagecount_poll_end
        pagecount_poll_interval

By reducing the interval length, or changing the start/end values (number of times
page counts are queried to ensure the job is done), you will reduce these delays.

Some printers are SLOW about updating their pagecounts, often not updating the
pagecount until all paper has been spewed out of the printer. In some cases, not
until the the paper is done >AND< TCP connection is dropped (check the archives for
how I know this...search on "Xerox")

FWIW: I have found monitoring the printer via SNMP to detect end-of-job, then pulling
the pagecount via SNMP, to significantly reduce the lag between jobs. This is a
little more complex to set up, though.

(Perhaps Patrick will unveil SNMP query support in the next ifhp release! He's been
threatening to include it for some time now. :)
