I think that if you compile modules for kernel 2.2.12-eide
you can use them on any 2.2.12* kernels but not on 2.2.11 or 2.2.13
i tested it and i got problem.
IMHO i think that module should be packed into a way that allow them
to be compiled and installed by the package-manager.

make install
