I installed on a Mandrake 8.0-with-compilers and glibc from 8.1 and had complaints only about the missing user and group. No problems with the install otherwise. I did find it a difficulty that there was no /etc/services in the sample. Networking code will definitely need this, and while the contents are not in the LSB, there are a few references in the spec to routines returning information based on a lookup in this file. Mats
