Is it any particular test case that is hanging? I do not think these use any ttys as such (the equivalent tests in the POSIX.os area do, and should work fine using pseudo ttys).
Many of these tests are exercising semaphores and other ipc stuff , that could be the cause of the hang. Did we ever decide what is mandatory in this area of the specification? I believe the tests are known to work on Solaris -but there could still be test issues since they have not been run on many other platforms.
