What puzzles me in this proposal is why are you insisting on making a stub link not-so-stubby instead of treating it as a passive interface (as others already suggested) ? What additional (I infer dynamic) attributes are you planning to advertise of this link ? The draft is so focused on the mechanics and there is very little there about the real use cases. Frankly when watching this discussion and reading the draft I am asking myself what is missing from already available encoding which you think is necessary to be part of the IGP advertisements ?
