Actually it was this woman: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carmen_Ortiz
An overzealous US Atty who'd just been named woman of the year by the Boston Globe and was the heir apparent to a very popular black Dem governor, as the latinx woman governor to-be. I could tell you a bunch about her, but suffice it to say that she was climbing the ladder on a series of show trials, mostly on the back of civil liberties, and pulling some serious over-reach. I had spoken to a bunch of the Berkman crowd about some of these cases and was shrugged off. Then she went after one of our own. We made sure she was not elected dog catcher, after Aaron. But there are still men in jail for 30 years who shouldn't be, because of her. We got a republican governor out of it, but he's not half bad. Well, maybe half. And I think the DOJ probably instructed her to make it "a federal case" because of PACER, maybe SOPA/PIPA. They were waiting for Aaron to jaywalk, as my father would have said.
