Hello Sabiha, I found the uMatrix plugin for firefox useful in customizing in a detailed way my navigation habits on a site-per-site basis: e.g. no pictures, no scripts, no frames, no third party cookies, and so on. You can customize it to block everything except the sites you want. It's a bit technical perhaps, but very instructive!
