Issue #410 has been reported by Jonathan Clarke. ---------------------------------------- Bug #410: Don't attempt to check or read slapd.conf file is slapd.d directory is configured and present http://tools.lsc-project.org/issues/410
Author: Jonathan Clarke Status: New Priority: Normal Assigned to: Jonathan Clarke Category: OpenLDAP init script Target version: openldap-initscript-? Almost all the attempts to read configuration in the init script first check if there is a slapd.d directory configured and uses that, and if not, fall back on to the slapd.conf file. However, in the initialization process, two checks look at this file whether or not a slapd.d directory is configured. This is annoying, and seems to me to be unexpected, because I like to configure both in my default/slapd file: if the directory is there, it takes precedence, if not we fall back to the config file. This will also allow us to distribute a correct slapd.default.DEBIAN file, that allows for the use of slapd.d by default in Debian and Ubuntu as of current versions (see #409) -- You have received this notification because you have either subscribed to it, or are involved in it.
