Issue #480 has been updated by Clément OUDOT.
It also implies to restart rsyslog service and not syslog service in post scripts. ---------------------------------------- Bug #480: Use rsyslog on CentOS 6 http://tools.lsc-project.org/issues/480 Author: Nick Milas Status: Assigned Priority: Normal Assigned to: Clément OUDOT Category: OpenLDAP RPM Target version: openldap-rpm-? CentOS 6 uses rsyslog and not syslog. However ltb-openldap RPM updates /etc/syslog.conf and not /etc/rsyslog.conf which is used by the OS. Thus no logging is possible before the admin manually updates /etc/rsyslog.conf Note: /etc/logrotate.d/openldap correctly handles the use of either syslog or rsyslog (in restarting after rotation). Please update RPMs for CentOS 6 to correctly use rsyslog instead. -- You have received this notification because you have either subscribed to it, or are involved in it.
