Issue #584 has been reported by Nick Milas. ---------------------------------------- Feature #584: Optimized Openldap Directory Structure http://tools.lsc-project.org/issues/584
Author: Nick Milas Status: New Priority: Normal Assigned to: Category: Target version: Hi, I am not a specialist in the field, but it was indicated to me that the correct place to put 3rd party and unbundled applications, even on GNU/Linux and especially on CentOS is /opt. Therefore, I would think it might be sensible to examine whether it would be better to follow in the future the symas openldap packaging paradigm, which would produce a structure as follows (adapted from symas packages - only used for illustration):
/var/ltb/: -rw-r--r-- errors drwx------ openldap-data drwxr-x--- openldap-logs drwxr-xr-x run /opt/ltb/: drwxr-xr-x 2 bin drwxr-xr-x 3 etc drwxr-xr-x 5 lib64 drwxr-xr-x 4 share drwxr-xr-x 2 ssl
Regards and thanks for your fine packages. -- You have received this notification because you have either subscribed to it, or are involved in it.
