Neither /dev/ttyS0 nor /dev/tts/0 seem to work, although I thought /dev/tts/0 was the proper devfs name of the serial port and that /dev/ttyS0 was only provided for backward compatability. I do have a line for "alias /dev/ttyS* /dev/tts" in my /etc/modules.devfs, so if I could get either to work I'd be happy.
BTW. If I set the lts.conf to use the /dev/psaux (which exists in /dev although there isn't a ps/2 port on the PC) then X does start up properly, although of course I cant use the mouse.
